Policies
Our partners are requested to adhere to Lorna Jane Code of Conduct. Additionally, we utilise independent certification standards to verify social and environmental compliance, driving ethical change throughout our supply chain.
Traceability
Lorna Jane's supply chain is distinguished by its simplicity and integrity, thanks to an exclusive partnership with Active Apparel Group, now a certified B-Corp. This certification underscores their commitment to meeting the highest standards of social and environmental performance. Active Apparel Group oversees all manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with labour, safety, and environmental standards. This partnership aligns with Lorna Jane's values and enhances our commitment to improving the fashion industry's impact. We also prioritise transparency and ethical practices, with a traceability strategy for complete visibility into our fabric mills and cotton supply chains, complying with regulations like the UFLPA.
Social Compliance
Lorna Jane is dedicated to upholding a high standard of social responsibility across our supply chain through our Social Compliance Program. This program ensures our manufacturing processes align with our ethical values and stakeholder expectations. Key components include our Suppliers registering on SEDEX, which helps manage and assess risks concerning labour rights, health and safety, the environment, and business ethics, and annual independent audits of our suppliers to maintain continuous compliance with our standards. We address any non-compliances by developing corrective action plans and conducting follow-up audits to ensure issues are resolved. We are committed to continuous improvement and plan to extend our Social Compliance Program to our fabric mills within the next 12 months to ensure our entire product manufacturing process meets our stringent ethical standards.
Non Trade Suppliers
At Lorna Jane, we are dedicated to the well-being of everyone in our supply chain, ensuring fair and safe practices. Our current assessments with Fair Supply show zero high-risk non-trade suppliers, reflecting our rigorous standards. Moving forward, we will engage our key non-trade suppliers by requesting they complete a self-assessment questionnaire. This process will enable us to provide tailored assistance, further enhancing the integrity and sustainability of our supply chain.
Living Wages
At Lorna Jane, we believe in the importance of paying a living wage—a wage that, according to the Anker methodology, is calculated to meet the basic needs of workers and their families, including food, housing, healthcare, education, and some discretionary income. Unlike a minimum wage, which is often legally mandated but may not cover all essential living expenses, a living wage is intended to ensure that workers can maintain a decent standard of living.
Empowering Women, Transforming The World
At Lorna Jane, we are committed to empowering the women who drive our business forward, both in and out of the workplace. We believe that a healthy, active lifestyle is key to personal and professional success, and we are proud to offer a range of benefits that support the wellbeing of our team members globally.
